PROJECT: Redesigning the Homepage for Black Girls Mental Health Collective
Overview
Black Girls Mental Health Collective needed a homepage that felt more alive and engaging for their community. Their old site was informative, but it didn’t showcase their programs, stories, and impact in a way that felt human and connected.
What I Did
Audited the original homepage and identified gaps in flow and storytelling
Created a blog-style design to highlight their programs, events, and community stories
Structured content to feel like a portfolio of impact rather than a static nonprofit page
Focused on accessibility, readability, and clear calls-to-action for visitors
The Result
The new homepage feels like a living publication — with sections for latest highlights, impact stories, featured programs, and community voices. It reflects the Collective’s mission while making it easier for visitors to explore, engage, and connect.
