Earth People Newsletter — HTML Email Design for Independent Wine Retail 

Overview

This project is a fully responsive Mailchimp email template designed for Earth People, an independent natural wine shop rooted in the belief that good wine starts with good farming. Built as a reusable template, it gives the Earth People team a branded, production-ready starting point for every newsletter send, without needing to rebuild from scratch each time.

For independent retail brands that send regular email content, a well-built Mailchimp template is one of the highest-value design assets they can have. It keeps the brand consistent across every send, speeds up the production process, and ensures the design holds up technically no matter who is editing it. That is exactly what this template was built to do.

What I Built

The template is structured around Earth People's core newsletter format: a promotional banner, a hero lifestyle section, a featured wine with origin story, a spotlight bottle with tasting notes, a producer portrait and biography, and a three-product shop grid. Each section is built as a modular Mailchimp content block, so the team can swap in new wines, update copy, and refresh photography each month without touching the underlying design or code.

The CTAs throughout, "Taste This Wine," "Shop This Wine," and "Shop Now," are styled as branded buttons that remain consistent across every send. The template is designed so that even a non-designer on the team can produce a polished, on-brand newsletter by simply updating the content.

Design and Development Details

The layout uses a cream and warm off-white base that gives each issue a magazine-quality editorial feel. Earth People's deep teal anchors every CTA button, keeping the brand recognizable at a glance. Generous white space around the bottle photography lets the product lead, and the producer portrait section is templated to accommodate any image ratio without breaking the layout.

The template is fully responsive and tested across Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail. The three-product grid at the bottom is coded to stack cleanly on mobile so no product gets cut off on smaller screens. All text blocks, images, and buttons are editable directly within Mailchimp's drag-and-drop editor.

This is the same approach I bring to every Mailchimp template project for small businesses and independent retail brands: a design that works beautifully out of the box and stays easy to manage long after the project is done.
